![]() MōVI Pro can flip from upright to inverted mode with a quick 180 degree roll. A four button system offers navigation of the built-in app directly on the MoVI Pro or you can use the MoVI Pro App or an optional MoVI Controller to control the unit. There is also an integrated screen on the back of the MoVI Pro to provide vital information such as estimated battery usage, status info, and ability to alter configuration on the fly. In the interview, we learned that the MoVI Pro includes stronger motors than previous versions which helps it to operate under tough conditions, such as flying sideways. Our Nic Somera caught up with Freefly at NAB 2017 to review the MoVI Pro and other new products in his video blog. In addition, you won’t need to fumble for a stand or worry about the integrity of your timelapse footage since a stand is incorporated into the MoVI Pro. The MoVI Pro's drive technology offers smooth, fast, closed loop control of pan / tilt / roll axes. The MIMIC controller allows the camera to automatically and intuitively follow a user’s movements with internal gimbal motors. Utilizing a 3-axis compass for accurate heading information, the world’s smallest 3-axis lens control built into the camera stage, and silent sine drive technology, the MoVI Pro includes the bells and whistles required to ramp up your gimbal work. Gimbal setup is an easy process with this device. You will also retain smooth footage due to MoVI’s 3-axis lens control. Those of you familiar with the MoVI M10/M15 will enjoy the familiar ability to execute eye-level shots without much fatigue, to fully integrate with the camera and accessories, plus to execute diverse shot types (hyperlapse, timelapse, motion control, mimic, etc.). Add your camera, lens, accessories and your ALTA copter to capture aerial footage. Includes the MoVI Pro Gimbal Stabilizer, MoVI Pro Landing Gear, MIMIC Controller, plus a case, batteries and a charger. The ABB survey includes close to 600 global industry experts, from vehicle manufacturers, and supplies at all levels of management, engineering and other key professionals throughout the automotive world.Fly your MoVI Pro Gimbal Stabilizer with this Freefly Systems MoVI Pro Aerial Bundle (MoVI Pro + MIMIC + Case + Bush Pilot). After launching in 2022, innovative solutions like ABB PixelPaint are helping reduce waste and increase efficiency in automotive painting applications, enabling manufacturers to better manage costs while operating more sustainably. Energy efficiency continues to be important, while an identical number of respondents (17%) felt that tighter cost management was crucial to the industry’s response. ![]() ![]() The survey highlighted how the rising cost of raw materials (62%) had already overtaken energy costs (59%) as the industry’s chief concern. “ABB is addressing these challenges directly with more efficient and flexible solutions, such as our range of AMRs (autonomous mobile robots) which can greatly improve the speed of delivery of critical parts to the assembly line.” “This seismic shift in manufacturing logistics requires smart, effective solutions,” said Joerg Reger, Managing Director of ABB Robotics Automotive Business Line. The survey also revealed how manufacturers were turning to increased stock-holding and bulk material purchasing to limit their exposure to disruption elsewhere in the supply chain, while working with a wider network of suppliers to ensure sufficient availability of parts. Nearly two-thirds (62%) of respondents cited ongoing supply chain concerns when asked to select their top three challenges to automotive manufacturing, while 41% cited the impacts of material and component price increases and 31% pointed to growing labour costs and shortages. Produced in partnership with Automotive Manufacturing Solutions, the survey was completed by a mix of global industry experts from vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and engineering. Also, rising costs and the desire to operate more sustainably are sharpening the focus on operational and energy efficiency gains through automation. The study’s finding reveals that supply chain concerns are creating a shift to greater stock-holding – a move away from the just-in-time approach. Shifting from ‘just-in-time’ to ‘just in case’ strategies, manufacturers are holding more stock to protect against unplanned disruptions. Supply chain disruption and rising material costs are causing the global automotive industry to re-evaluate lean manufacturing principles, reveals a new survey commissioned by ABB Robotics.
